The Flora's/Bamfield Inn property is a combination of 3 buildings. Newly renovated, the 12 room motel (in the back) has private accommodations and bathrooms, with a common kitchen and living room area for all guests to enjoy. The front building hosts our check in, retail and cafe space that's right on the boardwalk, featuring a large covered deck with lots of seating. The middle and largest building on the property is a 100 years old, with tons of history, and is home to an 80 seat restaurant (open daily in the summer). Above the restaurant, we have 8 Inn rooms available- 4 of them featuring beautiful ocean views, and 2 with large 400sq ft wraparound decks. Bethlehem Centre is a cottage-at-the-lake style retreat and conference centre. Ideal for residential groups of 10-40 people, the Centre offers an all-inclusive experience with full meal service and on-site opportunities for quiet reflection and spiritual path-making. Situated on the shores of Westwood Lake at the foot of Mount Benson in Nanaimo, the Centre is a 5-minute walk from a swimming beach, is surrounded by forest, and is connected to miles of hiking trails. The Centre has an outdoor Chartres-style labyrinth, a finger labyrinth museum, a gift shop, a library, an organic vegetable garden and a contained eco-system outdoor pond. Our house is situated in a very quiet neighborhood. Kimberley is perfect for summer and winter holidays. In the summer there are many excellent golf courses nearby, hike and (mountain) bike trails, lakes for swimming and sun bathing, waterfalls, rafting, fly fishing, Fort Steele heritage town, the mine museum or just visit cozy, car free down town Kimberley with nice shops and restaurants. In the winter: we are close to the ski hill (only two minutes) and cross country skiing or snow shoeing starts in our back yard! Down town Kimberley is only a 5 minutes (short cut) walk and we are across from the well known restaurant The Old Bauernhaus.

The Oceanfront Hotel is a pet friendly family owned business that has been run by us ( Robin and Ray ) for the last 30 years. It boasts panoramic sea views from the majority of our rooms. Guests can enjoy the sound of the ocean from their balconies and bring along their pets for the ultimate family getaway. This beachfront property is located 250 feet from Sointula ferry terminal. Your ferry fare includes the return trip and seniors travel free from Monday - Thursday. Cable TV, a microwave, coffee pot, tea kettle, and a mini fridge is standard in each brightly decorated room with use of a communal kitchen. Private kitchens and kitchenettes are also available in select rooms. Free wifi is offered in all areas. Whale-watching, sports fishing and crabbing charters are available, just ask us! Beach combing for sea-glass, hiking trails and kayaking opportunities are also available from our property! Come enjoy our small island lifestyle, and leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and at peace! Oh, and please drink the water! It's the best in the world! We offer both short and long term accommodations. While our pub is currently closed due to COVID, we have opened a new takeout window that is open for lunch and dinner from 11:30-1:30/5-8 every day!
