The Pacific Rim Visitor Centre offers a primary arrival and meeting destination for those venturing to the Pacific Rim region on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. Immediately following your drive over the Pacific Rim Highway (Hwy 4) from Port Alberni, you will reach our headquarters at the Junction between Ucluelet and Tofino. Our wheelchair accessible facilities offer a staffed Visitor Information Centre, a Parks Canada center, large maps of the region, public WiFi, secure garbage and recycling boxes, public restrooms, and plentiful parking for both RV's and regular vehicles. We will be closed early on December 31st at 3pm and closed all day January 1st and 2nd.
Valley Retreat is a fully updated, modern 7 room lodge in a quiet mountain setting just 1.5 km from Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Each of our rooms has a private ensuite, HD TV, WiFi, super comfortable beds with soft linens, organic toiletries . After a day of activity, our guests can chill in the hot tub while enjoying incredible views of the resort and surrounding peaks and take advantage of our gear drying, storage and tune up benches that include complimentary wax (and a bar!) in the converted garage. We also have seating with views on the covered porch and have a large, comfy living room for guests to chill out in front of the large TV and fireplace. The vineyard is cultivated with natural, sustainable, and organic farming techniques. Our winery is small, well-equipped, modern, and versatile. Gentle fruit handling and minimal intervention are key elements in winemaking informed by science, tradition, and constant observation. Each suite has a view across the pristine lake, teeming with loons, painted turtles, otters and other bird life and wildfowl, all from your bedroom and your private patio. Continental breakfasts, free use of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards as well as swimming or fishing from our private wharf in the warm spring fed lake to compliment further adventures in Wells Gray Park.
Operates approx May 15 - Sept 15 each summer. A small, family-run campground located on Osoyoos Lake, near the Town of Osoyoos in BC Canada. Established in the 1960's this campground has always catered to families, seniors, couples and single travellers. The campground accepts tents, small/medium-sized RVs and also offers to those needing a simple budget sleeping unit several camping cabins and bedroom cabanas - these rooms comes with beds, mattresses, lights, electricity, a fridge, sink, mini-stove, and outdoor patio (weekly stays only in summer). Although an older park, Cabana Beach Campground has unique features that you will not likely find at older/rustic or provincial campsites : the 3-sided "kitchen cabana" shelters come with a picnic table, sink, light, and elec outlet and are included at most of the tent sites, with optional fridge rental available. Some modern amenities are also:fully tiled, coin-op showers, free use of central wifi, free use of air-compressor hose to quickly fill up your air-beds, bike tires, and all your floating water toys. Park owners live on-site. This park has strictly enforced common-sense campsite rules - No noise or behaviours which annoy or disturb other campers. For this reason, radios or tv's must be off by 10 pm, and "quiet time" is at 11 pm . There is one (perhaps) unusual rule - No Dogs are accepted. No fires either - but the main reason is there is often a complete regional fire-ban all summer long. Campers can still bring a propane fire pit. Also a campstove or barbecue for grilling!

BIG Little Science Centre is a fun Hands-On venue for Families. During drop-in times our hands-on rooms are open for visitors to tour at their leisure. The site has approximately 140 stations of hands-on activities to try.
