A short, 2 hour drive down the famous Hill, or Freedom Highway, is the Bella Coola Valley and the Great Bear Rainforest. Welcome to the Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin. We are situated on Broadway Avenue South, Williams Lake serving on the traditional territory of the Secwepemc, Tsilhqot'in and Dakelh Nations. The Museum is a tribute to Williams Lake and the Cariboo Chilcotin regions. If you are looking to step back in time come on in we would love to open our doors to you. Nestled in the Cariboo Chilcotin, the Museum provides history and displays on the region, local ranching and rodeo heritage, it is also the home to the BC Cowboy Hall of Fame as well as exhibits on Indigenous Peoples, Railway, Mining, Medical, and Forestry just to name a few. Admission is by donation supporting local and provincial heritage. The North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre is located in a park-like setting with a peaceful rustic atmosphere. When visiting the centre you will be able to view eagles, several species of owls, falcons, hawks, ravens, and black bears. Rehabilitating eagles can be viewed through one way glass in the largest flight enclosure of its kind in Canada. The Centre's mandate is the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native wildlife, with a focus on raptors and black bears. GUIDED TOURS: are available for groups of 15 or more. HOURS OF OPERATION: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7 days a week. ENTRANCE FEES: $15.00.00 adults, $6.00 children aged 3-12, plus applicable taxes.

Built in 1903 this beautiful house was remodeled into a B&B with 8 unique rooms. The house sits on 87 acres has a salt water swimming pool, meditation labyrinth, walking trails and peaceful gardens.
