Historically, Island Mountain Arts has sought to provide opportunities for the exhibition of professional artists in northern BC, for the benefit of both artists and northern communities. Relative to major urban centres, there have been minimal venues for exhibitions in the north, resulting in limited access to cultural activities for residents of small, isolated, or northern communities. Prior to 1988, Island Mountain Arts occasionally produced professional exhibitions by partnering with venues in Wells such as the Wells-Barkerville School, the Community Hall and the Wells Hotel, to exhibit artwork. With the restoration of the Hill Meat Market building in 1988 and creation of a public gallery, IMA was at last able to provide a secure professional venue for exhibits in Wells.

Founded in 2004, the Smith Family built Howling Bluff Estate Winery and vineyard from scratch on our farm on Three Mile Rd that is now part of the famous Naramata Bench wine region. We released our first vintage, the 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, in the spring of 2007. Four BC Lieutenant Governor awards, one Silver in the Decanter World Wine awards, one Red Wine of the Year award, and too many other accolades to count later, Howling Bluff is now focused on finding the best expression of our vineyard for our wines while making sure we create a legacy of a sustainable family winery that our children will continue with far into the future. From our solar panels to our biodynamic, organic and most importantly to us sustainable farming and winemaking practices, added to our efforts to buying local when possible to our most ambitious mission yet: to use, as much as possible, products that have the lowest possible footprint on our planet.

Our flightseeing tours are a wonderful way to see the wilderness and the beautiful Lakes District. Our floatplane flights are a great experience especially for those who have never been in a small plane. We own and operate one of Canada's most famous airplanes...the Dehavilland Beaver, come see for yourself and take a tour through historic areas and see BC's largest provincial park, Tweedsmuir!

ArtCraft is the longest running fine arts and crafts shows in BC and the home to the work of over 100 fine artists and craftspeople, representing the very best of Salt Spring and the Gulf Islands. On show is everything imaginable from fine oil paintings, ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, basketry, fibre arts to handmade soaps.Located in downtown Ganges, in historic Mahon hall, it is one of the "must see" attractions of any visit to Salt Spring.

Founded in 1985, Gulf Island Kayaking is a family owned and operated tour and rental company offering half-day, full-day, and multi-day guided kayak adventures as well as quality kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, for hire out of Montague Harbour Marina on Galiano Island. The Honeymoon Bay Lodge & Retreat is a Christian Not-For-Profit Retreat Centre. The Retreat is a ministry of Youth For Christ Canada, an organization that ministers to at risk youth across Canada. The Retreat will be used in the training and care of Youth For Christ leaders. The location is nestled in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Our mandate is to provide a place for rest, renewal and growth. When the Retreat is not in use by Youth For Christ staff it will be available as a restorative setting ideal for personal and group retreats, workshops, conferences requiring accommodation as well as for individuals seeking a place for personal renewal and restoration. The Honeymoon Bay Lodge & Retreat is wheelchair accessible and has 17 beautifully appointed suites, full dining experience and versatile meeting spaces. Amenities include a saltwater hot tub, infrared sauna, fitness room, library, gardens, local artisans gallery, and a labyrinth.
