Macaloney's Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery is a producer of premium malt whiskies and superb craft beers. Our basic tour lasts 45 mins and begins in our visitors centre and flows the way the spirits go, past the grist mill where you can taste some of the various strains of malted & un- malted barley, or other cereals that we as a craft brewer as well as a distiller get to play and experiment with. Onward into the heart of the Brew & Still house through the smells of the mash tun & wash backs, past the gleaming swan necked Stills and then up into the warehouse and bottling hall before returning back to the visitors centre for a wee dram of two of the whiskies in our Macaloney Cask Selection series along with three of our craft beers. The Fernie RV Resort offers 161 fully-serviced RV sites, (26 are pull-throughs) 11 tenting sites, 5 heated yurts and 10 luxury RV Lodges. The resort is open year-round. The location is nestled between the Elk River, Fernie Golf Course and Maiden Lake. It is also close to Fernies shopping and dining services, and the Historic Downtown. The Riverside Resort Trail connects with the Fernie trail network for endless walking and biking and in Winter months the trail is groomed and connects with a Nordic network. Amenities include two family-style washrooms with private showers, sinks and toilets, 30 and 50 amp service, free WiFi, a professional laundry, kids playground, pump-track, sani-dump and water fill-up station.
