Blue Ocean Golf Club (formerly the Sechelt Golf and Country Club) is a championship par 72 located in beautiful Sechelt, British Columbia on Vancouver's Sunshine Coast just a short ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay. With tees ranging from 5,351 to 6,553 yards the golf course is a test for all abilities. There are two large greens to practice putting and chipping, a full service Practice Tee and our Professionals offer a complete range of instruction and coaching programs designed to assist you in reaching your potential and gain the enjoyment that playing better can bring. Built in 1894 in the historic fishing village of Steveston, the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site is one of B.C.'s few historically intact canneries. The Parks Canada site commemorates the history and the contributions of the diverse communities and cultures of Canada's West Coast fishing industry. Discover Whistler's original summer activity the legendary River of Golden Dreams and scenic Alta Lake The flat water river is more than just a float, its an Exploring Adventure. Spectacular views of mountain peaks, Beaver, Eagles, Osprey, Herons and even Black Bears are regular sights that will have you eagerly wondering whats around the next bend. Unlike an amusement park ride River of Golden Dreams trips allow you to be an active participant, one of the reasons people keep coming back to paddle the river. In the spring the water levels can be high and moving though always flat and no rapids. By mid-summer water levels are gentle. By late summer the beaver start rebuilding their dams creating pools to paddle in. Guides are recommended, though experienced river paddlers go unguided. Our River trips have limited availability and often sell out, please pre book to assure your spot. Located at Lakeside Park minutes from Whistler Village.
