The mission of the Comox Air Force Museum is to preserve and teach the history and heritage of the Royal Canadian Air Force with a focus on CFB Comox, 19 Wing, and the west coast of Canada. A self-guided tour begins at the dawn of military aviation in WWI, WWII, Korea, the Cold War and United Nations Peacekeeping before reaching the section that features all of 19 Wing's past and present squadrons. The research library contains aviation reference materials, technical manuals, personal accounts, biographies, logbooks, and photographs. A well stocked gift shop is filled with clothing, hats, toys, and exclusive RCAF memorabilia. Heritage Air Park is home to a collection of aircraft that once flew at CFB Comox.

Located one scenic hour north of Vancouver or 40 minutes south of Whistler, Brackendale Art Gallery is a center for the arts in the Squamish Valley. The Brackendale Art Gallery Theatre Teahouse was established in 1970 as a community cultural centre to foster and further appreciation of local, BC and Canadian visual and performing art and artists. Kids of all ages love our scavenger hunt, rope making, tomato and egg sorting demonstrations. Visitors learn how people lived without electricity and can see first-hand wooden ice boxes (early refrigerators), see early windmills that pump water and produce light. nearing 100 years old and still running! For the middle aged and senior visitors our artifacts bring back many memories of how folks lived. Remembering what life was like as a kid, seeing the transition from horse power to engines. The collection of artifacts by the Association has evolved from focusing on farming equipment only, to including historical artifacts depicting all aspects of pioneer life. The Museum collection has grown to over 6,100 historical artifacts of farming equipment and pioneer life in British Columbia, on display in two buildings and an outside exhibit area.
