Bethlehem Centre is a cottage-at-the-lake style retreat and conference centre. Ideal for residential groups of 10-40 people, the Centre offers an all-inclusive experience with full meal service and on-site opportunities for quiet reflection and spiritual path-making. Situated on the shores of Westwood Lake at the foot of Mount Benson in Nanaimo, the Centre is a 5-minute walk from a swimming beach, is surrounded by forest, and is connected to miles of hiking trails. The Centre has an outdoor Chartres-style labyrinth, a finger labyrinth museum, a gift shop, a library, an organic vegetable garden and a contained eco-system outdoor pond. The Grist Mill Campground is a small creekside campground on Keremeos Creek, and is part of the Grist Mill and Gardens Historic Site. Each of the eleven serviced campsites back onto the creek and have both water and power. There are also two tent-only sites without creek access. Washrooms are available to campers 24 hours a day. During the daytime, our restaurant is open for lunch and our lovely gardens and site are open for tours.
