Artique is a co-op gallery of close to 30 Powell River working artists and craftspersons who collectively display their work for sale. These include greeting cards and works on paper, jewellery of metals and precious stones, pottery, soaps and lotions, photography, watercolour, oil, pastel and acrylics on canvas and board, fine textiles, stained glass, glass beads, and wood and stone sculptures.

Our family has been farming on this lovely part of the Oldfield valley since the late 1950's; first in strawberries, and then loganberries for the island wineries in the mid 1960's to 70's. We planted our vines in 2003 and opened our tasting room in 2012. Just 15 minutes north of Victoria near Butchart Gardens, we specialize in dry white wines and lively, lightly oaked reds. We grow Ortega - a signature grape for Vancouver Island, as well as Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir (we make a rose and a red from this grape), Millot and Foch, as well as our low alcohol "Splash". Remote fly-in lodge located at the headwaters of the Stikine River in Spatsizi Wilderness Park, British Columbia. Access over 2 million acres of pristine fly fishing for wild rainbow trout, arctic grayling and bull trout. Each day, escape via floatplane with an experienced pilot and guide to new waters. All of our fishing takes place on small, crystal clear rivers, streams, and lakes with easy wading. We cater exclusively to small parties of six to eight anglers per week and provide the maximum quantity of amenities permitted in a wilderness park, while maintaining a true wilderness fly-fishing experience.

U'mista Cultural Centre is one of the longest-operating and most successful First Nations cultural facilities in BC, founded in 1980 as a ground breaking project to house potlatch artifacts which had been seized by government during an earlier period of cultural repression. The return of the potlatch artifacts not only provided U'mista's name ('the return of something important'), and sparked a general trend toward repatriation of First Nations and cultural artifacts, it caused the creation of a physical facility and human resources infrastructure which have been successfully operated for over two decades.U'mista now operates a modern museum and cultural education facility in Alert Bay. Their operations include the museum, an extensive art gallery and gift shop, group tours, and presentations by dance troupes.
