When we were deciding what to call our winery we wondered; "What is it about wine that captivates us, that keeps us coming back for more, and that still interests us after all these years?"Some people like to know where the wine comes from. Others like to know who made it or how it will change with time. The foodies want to know what flavours they will find in their glass and how it will pair with a certain dish.We're all intrigued about wine. It's constantly changing and evolving. That is part of the excitement and allure of winemaking.We came together as partners out of a passion for wine. We offer 10 log lakeside cabins. And over 20 campsites all located on Fishpot Lake. The main lodge has a licensed resterant, small convienence store and sells basic fishing and hunting supplies and tags. We have a swim dock with diving board and can boast nice swimming through the summer months. We rent boats with electric motors and a canoe as well for touring around the lake. We also have a boat launch, but we do have a motor boat restriction size of 10 horsepower or less gas motors. We have a covered barbeque area and a playground for children as well. Haida Style Expeditions is a Haida Owned and Operated, family business practicing sustainable tourism on Haida Gwaii. Owners, James & Shawn Cowpar, identical twins, offer over 25 years of experience in the tourism industry. A team of local professional guides, your safety is our number one priority. We provide a variety of cultural tours into Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, Marine Conservation Area, and Haida Heritage Site. Guests will have the opportunity to visit ancient village sites, meet the Haida Gwaii Watchmen, watch for wildlife, and experience nature on any one of our three different tours into Gwaii Haanas. On our West Coast Tour, we explore the Ancient Village site of Ts'aahl (Chaatl) where one can view two of the last frontal poles still standing since contact and learn about the history of the village. Interesting in fishing on the West Coast of Haida Gwaii, enjoy catching salmon and halibut while listening to local stories. Haawa (thank you)
