Nanaimo Museum: Discover Nanaimos fascinating history in our museum located in the VI Conference Centre. The main gallery offers a sense of what life was like for Nanaimo's earliest settlers and the Snuneymuxw First Nation. Our award winning replica coal mine is a popular stop. The museum also manages the Bastion, an original Hudson's Bay Company post built in 1853. Dont miss the gift shop! The Vanderhoof Tourism and Cultural Centre opened its doors on June 30, 2022 and is located on the corner of Highway 16 and Pine Street on the traditional territory of Saikuz First Nation. Stop in to pick up some brochures, check out some local art, and chat with one of the friendly Visitor Services Specialists about the exciting things you can do in Vanderhoof. The Vanderhoof Community Museum is also located on these grounds. We encourage you to take a tour through our collection of six historic buildings at your own pace or with a guide. Admission is by donation and includes a large RV parking lot, free WIFI, wheelchair accessible picnic tables and a 1.5km interpretive walking trail. We hope to see you soon!

The tours offer guests an opportunity to safely experience the rugged and pristine west coast in a fun and eco-friendly way. Established in 1916 as part of the Dominion Experimental Farm, now the Summerland Research and Development Centre, the 6 hectare, Summerland Ornamental Gardens was designed to help residents, choose ornamental plants for their gardens that would be suitable for the dry Okanagan climate. In collaboration with Agriculture Canada, the site is maintained by the non-profit society, the Friends of Summerland Ornamental Gardens. As you stroll through the Gardens you will have views of Okanagan Lake, Giant's Head Mountain and the Trout Creek Trestle railroad bridge, an outstanding engineering feat constructed for the Kettle Valley Railway. Visit the demonstration garden beds and learn principles of water-smart gardening with the diverse Welcome Garden, Xeriscape Garden, Butterfly Garden, Vegetable garden, Canadian Heritage Rose garden, Fairy Garden and more. The gardens are open year-round. Our society gratefully requests a minimum donation $5.00 per person to keep us growing.

Mabel Lake Golf Course is a 9 hole golf course, designed and built by Les Furber. Our chalet style clubhouse features a fully licensed restaurant & patio, pro shop, plus banquet and meeting facilities. We also offer a variety of accommodation from luxury homes to beachfront cabins and lake view condos. Amenities include free wifi, satellite tv, swimming pool, hot tub, BBQ, etc. And if you're a pilot, we have a 2900' grass landing strip for your convenience. Everything is only a 5 minute walk away at Mabel Lake: the golf course, vacation rentals, airstrip, marina, campground, beaches, general store and liquor store. Other amenities include daily and weekly golf cart rentals, and boat and kayak rentals.

Running half-day, full day and two-day Rafting tours on the rivers of the Sea to Sky corridor. We have convenient starting points from several Vancouver, Whistler and Squamish Hotels. We operate 7 days a week and on weekends we offer morning and afternoon departures. During the Covid19 pandemic we are offering "Book a Boat" options on all of our day tours. This option allows guests to reserve a private raft for 4-6 people in order to raft safely within the comforts of their own bubble.
