Come to the northern edge of the Great Bear Rainforest on British Columbias north coast, to the Khutzeymateen. Here, within the traditional territory of the Tsimshian nations, lives a wild population of coastal grizzly bears. Just south of the Alaska panhandle and located within Canada's only grizzly bear protected area, Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge is your home in the wilderness where you can visit with the grizzly bears in the wild. No roads, no towns...just wilderness and wildlife. Climb into the floatplane and take off from Prince Rupert, BC for a 20 minute flight over mountains and inlets to the Khutzeymateen. Our days are filled with searching for grizzly bears in the lush Khutzeymateen Inlet and estuary, with bald eagles, seabirds, seals, waterfalls and mountains. We are trained and certified under the Commercial Bear Viewing Association of BC.

Our well-appointed duplex and triplex cabins are self-contained with air conditioning, fully-equipped kitchens, two or three beds, and picnic tables. All the cabins have fantastic views of the roaring river. The RV Park is situated on a landscaped setting surrounded by beautiful trees to provide shade. We offer full hookup, pull thru and tenting sites, accommodating to everyones needs. For your convenience, free hot showers, flush toilets, and a laundromat is available for use. Also, a small convenience store, pay phones, game room, horseshoes, lawn bowling, volleyball and more are on-site. Our excellent location is ideal for sportsmen, families and nature lovers! Enjoy the Thompson River, famous for steelhead fishing, whitewater rafting and mountain sheep.
