Take Your Business to the World Stage: BC Accelerator Program
The BC Accelerator Program (BCAP) is an educational market development program helping export-ready tourism businesses across British Columbia learn to work with the travel trade, which remains one of the most powerful ways to connect tourism experiences in British Columbia with high-value international travellers. We know participants are at different stages of their travel trade journey, and we’re committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive learning environment for all.
Building on the success of and learnings from the BCAP pilot initiative in 2025, the 2026-27 program will be delivered in two phases, to advance export readiness across BC’s tourism sector:
Phase 1 (2026) — Learn the foundations from structured export readiness training through the Tourism Industry Association of Canada’s Export READI™ program.
Phase 2 (2027) — Put those learnings into action with a travel trade marketplace connecting BC tourism businesses with international buyers.
Participation is currently by invitation only due to high demand and limited space.
Phase 1: October 2026
Virtual Education & Training
Phase 1 delivers comprehensive export readiness training for select BC tourism businesses, preparing participants for the 2027 marketplace. Delivered through the Tourism Industry Association of Canada’s (TIAC) Export READI™ program, training emphasizes structured, trackable learning and regional consistency. Led by Jennifer MacGregor from Alternative Sales Strategy, the virtual sessions will take place the week of October 26-29, 2026 from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm PST.
