Heli-Skiing & Cat-Skiing
The birthplace of heli-skiing
It’s been more than 50 years since British Columbia’s peaks—and a few intrepid skiers—brought heli-skiing to the masses. Every winter, BC’s enormous heli- and cat-skiing tenure draws powder skiers to experience true adventure.
Heli-skiing provides access to untouched, remote alpine terrain via helicopter and cat-skiing means hopping in a snowcat (a treaded, truck-like vehicle) to access lower altitude—but still exhilarating—runs. There are more than twenty heli- and cat-ski operators around the province, who cater to a variety of experiences and budgets.
