The Canadian Rockies are legendary, with alpine lakes, massive rock faces, glaciers, waterfalls, mountain goats clinging to craggy cliffs, and herds of elk roaming wildflower meadows.

Spanning British Columbia and Alberta, this vast range is one of the largest in North America—a pinnacle destination when you travel from Rainforest to Rockies. Here, you’ll also find the headwaters of the Fraser and Columbia Rivers, and the UNESCO-designated Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks, which include the range’s highest peak, Mount Robson. Edging onto the Birthplace of Adventure, the dramatic peaks and valleys invite hiking, climbing, wildlife tours, skiing, and backcountry adventures.

Whether you’re road-tripping, whitewater rafting, camping, or staying at a luxe alpine lodge, it’s essential to travel with care. These living landscapes lie within the ancestral territories of the Ktunaxa Nation and Secwépemc Nation (as well as the Stoney Nakoda Peoples in Alberta), who have lived with and cared for them for millennia.
