Kelowna
A sunny, laid-back city set in the wine country of BC
On the east shores of Okanagan Lake, Kelowna is a sun-kissed, easygoing city surrounded by terraced vineyards and rolling benchlands.
These are the homelands of the Syilx People of the Okanagan Nation, whose stories and culture is woven into the threads of culture, land, and community.
Set in the iconic Valleys & Vineyards area of the largest wine region in British Columbia, good food and drink are central to Kelowna. Go wine or cider tasting, shop at an orchard fruit stand, or indulge in a farm-to-table meal under the stars. In spring and summer, fill your days golfing, hiking, and lake life. The fall harvest is a time to celebrate the bounty of the Okanagan Valley, while winter brings fresh ski turns in feather-light snow. Active adventurers can cycle Myra Canyon on the reclaimed Kettle Valley Railway, which travels through tunnels and over trestles, alongside a steep canyon rock face.
