Sea-to-Sky

A scenic ribbon of highway linking ocean and mountain communities

The Sea-to-Sky Highway, stretching between Metro Vancouver and Whistler, is often considered one of the most beautiful drives in the world.

Follow the edges of Howe Sound fjord, beneath snow-capped Coast Mountains and cascading waterfalls. First Nations, including Tsleil-Waututh Nation, Squamish Nation, and Lil’wat Nation, have cared for these lands and waters for millennia, and their distinct cultures are shaped by a deep connection to nature.

The route, also known as Highway 99, connects adventurous communities like Vancouver’s North Shore and Squamish. Ride famed mountain biking trails, ski legendary powder, climb steep granite slabs, and harness the wind and water. From the historic town of Lillooet, the journey continues north along the Rainforest to Rockies route, winding through ever-changing landscapes toward the Canadian Rockies.
