Shuswap

Find a casual and warm welcome at a lakeside retreat

Shimmering Shuswap Lake is the heart of the Shuswap area, a must-do stop when travelling the iconic Rainforest to Rockies route through Valleys & Vineyards.

Located on the homelands of the Secwépemc Nation in southcentral British Columbia, the spectacular landscape is defined by rugged mountains, forest-lined valleys, grasslands, and waterways.

With 1,000 km of shoreline, the H-shaped Shuswap Lake is a centrepiece for water recreation, fishing, and houseboating. On land, explore the vast network of hiking and biking trails. Come winter, amp up the adventure with sledding, Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Salmon Arm is the urban centre on the lakeshore with a long, curved wooden wharf, sandy beaches, and the well-loved Roots and Blues music festival.
