Named after the Eagles that soar overhead, Eaglecrest Golf Club is located in the beautiful Oceanside area of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Established in 1971, Eaglecrest is one of the oldest golf courses in the area. This 18 hole championship golf course offers lush fairways and towering evergreen trees. The layout deftly combines a variety of different elements to create a uniquely challenging course. The first three holes are traditional links-style holes, while the next nine are tighter, winding through dense groves of firs and cedars. The final six holes are the golf courses most formidable, especially the 14th and 17th. The par-5 14th hole features lakes on either side as well as a treacherous pot bunker guarding the large green. Eaglecrest Golf Club`s 17th is also tricky. With a narrow landing area, massive greenside bunkers, and a slippery, four tiered, narrow green, the 17th at Eaglecrest will test all areas of your game. Eaglecrest presents many challenging tests, even for the most seasoned golfer.

Macaloney's Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery is a producer of premium malt whiskies and superb craft beers. Our basic tour lasts 45 mins and begins in our visitors centre and flows the way the spirits go, past the grist mill where you can taste some of the various strains of malted & un- malted barley, or other cereals that we as a craft brewer as well as a distiller get to play and experiment with. Onward into the heart of the Brew & Still house through the smells of the mash tun & wash backs, past the gleaming swan necked Stills and then up into the warehouse and bottling hall before returning back to the visitors centre for a wee dram of two of the whiskies in our Macaloney Cask Selection series along with three of our craft beers. OPEN May thru September each year - The Gardens on Anderton is a little drop of heaven located in Comox, BC. Come for a stroll, picnic, or to see what's blooming. Or become a member and take advantage of all The Gardens have to offer including interactive gardening activities and hands-on gardening, social gatherings, and the opportunity to contribute to something special while enjoying the outdoors in our beautiful 2-acre surroundings. We are fully accessible and child friendly. The Gardens on Anderton is where growth happens, so come on by. Entry for visitors is by donation.

Established in 1971, the Sidney Museum has served the community of Sidney and North Saanich since then. Run by the Society of Saanich Peninsula Museums, the museum promotes awareness of local heritage through exhibits, programs, and collections. Its permanent collection consists of over 6000 items. In addition to its permanent exhibits, the museum also features rotating monthly exhibits. These temporary exhibits include everything from an annual Quilting display, a Teddy Bear Christmas Display, and of course the famous 3-month long Lego Exhibit. The Society of Saanich Peninsula Museums is a non-profit organization, and the Museum is open to the public by donation.

In September 2019, Beaufort became the first organically certified vineyard on Vancouver Island. Winemaker Freya Timmermans crafts the vintage in small batches for a unique expression of our Islands cool coastal climate. Expect youthful, fruit-driven reds, and lively, aromatic whites. The Sooke Region Museum & Visitor Centre is a community museum that explores the human and natural heritage of the region from Sooke to Port Renfrew. The museum also operates the local visitor information centre for the region. We have both exhibits in the main museum building and around the grounds. In the Summer we are open 7 days a week. In the off season we are closed Mondays and most Stat holidays. Starting the first Thursday in June, and running until first Thursday in September, we host a night market from 5pm to 8pm and museum stays open during this event.We also usually are closed over Christmas and the first week of January. The museum holds various special event during the year, has a gift shop with local arts & crafts, plus can do special meals for pre-booked tour groups.
