The Kootenay Lake Historical Society is the custodian of the S.S. Moyie, the world's oldest intact passenger sternwheeler. The Moyie plied Kootenay Lake for 59 years - it is now a National Historic Site and Museum. Open from May through October, visitors are taken back in time when the board the vessel. Fun for families and people of all ages!

Wild Bear Lodge (formerly Grizzly Bear Ranch) is a small, specialised wilderness lodge about halfway between Vancouver and Calgary. In doing so we hope to hook younger children into the thrills of fishing and exploring the great outdoors. I know my passion for fishing and the outdoors stems from a childhood out on the river / lake with a fishing rod in hand.

White Water Rafting in Revelstoke: The class 3+ Illecillewaet River has big, splashy waves and rapids, but is not too technical or high-risk, its a great trip for beginners, but thrilling enough for those who've rafted before. Starting in Glacier National Park, we get on the Illecillewaet River at Albert Canyon for an exhilarating 26km ride through gorgeous scenery.
