Perched along Perfection Run, the Plaza on the Ridge offers large pleasant rooms with excellent ski-in/ski-out access. Part of the hotel is located above The Cleveland Tavern, a local's go-to bar. We love being so close to the night life action but this can make some of our rooms noisy (especially in the evening and weekends!- Great for all you party people! ) . We do have a quieter wing of the hotel but this is very dependant on room type. Modern with an edge, never a bad bed with super comfy new mattresses, AC recently installed and blackout blinds for lazy mornings. During the autumn and winter months, the Visitor Centre is not staffed. But you will find self-serve information available, such as maps, schedules, visitor tips and more. Metchosin ArtPod is an artist-run collective and gallery located in the rural village of Metchosin, on Greater Victorias West Shore. We support local visual artists by offering opportunities to learn, create, show, and sell original work, and offer the community a venue for engaging with the visual arts. We offer: open calls for art submissions to artists in our region and beyond; externally juried art shows and sales in a professional, gallery setting; show opening events, featured artist talks and discussion forums; weekly drop-in art sessions (Watercolour, Figure Drawing, Nature Sketching); monthly art workshops, resource networks and learning opportunities. Art atelier drop-ins are held during the week, and the gallery is open Fri -Sun, 11-4.
