Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge, operated by Weber Powder, offers all inclusive (guided & catered) refined mountain experiences in the remote British Columbia backcountry. Established in 1978 by Hans Gmoser (the founder of CMH), Battle Abbey is perched at 2200M in the sub alpine and sits on 10,000 acres of exclusive world-class terrain. Battle Abbey offers a wide array of adventures for intermediate to expert backcountry ski tourers and split-boarders. From steep tree skiing below the lodge to high alpine bowls, couloirs and long glaciated runs above, there is Supreme Skiing for all weather conditions. Trips include ground transportation from Calgary International Airport, inbound/outbound helicopter flights, lodge accommodation, gourmet dining, lodge staff, four ACMG certified guides as well as all safety equipment. The Hedley Museum is closed for the 2022 season now. Opening again in May of 2023. Opening hours generally include Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Mondays 10:00-4:00pm. In 2023 we hope to be open 7 days a week for July and August. A charming heritage museum in the heart of the Similkameen Valley, that shares the towns gold mining history. The building houses a gift shop, tea room and an amazing collection of photos, stories and artifacts. The back garden is shaded and provides a welcome place to sit and enjoy the day. The building is wheel accessible and air conditioned. Admission is by donation and our tour guides will gladly show you around the museum. Also lots of brochures, maps and info for tourists & visitors at the info booth inside the museum.
