Forest Rose Campground
This forested campground offers a sunny creek-side setting for campers of all kinds, with more trees and privacy on the north end in the first-come, first-served section and sunnier pull-through sites on the south end in the reservable section. Forest Rose Campground has 30 campsites that can be booked in advance, as well as 26 campsites in the first-come, first-served section. It features a playground, and a washroom building with flush toilets, potable water, and coin-operated showers. Bear-proof garbage and recycling bins are offered in central locations throughout the campground. All campsites are equipped with a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and campfire ring. Firewood is available for an additional fee of $10 per day. Campsites are an average of 55 feet long and 13 feet wide and can accommodate most trailers and RVs. Forest Rose Campground is located off of the Bowron Lake Road, along the east side of Williams Creek and a stone's throw from the Barkerville Highway. It's 2 km north of the Barkerville Visitor Centre. Guests can travel back and forth from the Historic Zone to Forest Rose via the highway, or cross the highway on foot to access a well-groomed walking path. Forest Rose Campground is part of the 1,100-hectare property that forms Barkerville Historic Town & Park and is managed by Barkerville Heritage Trust.
Cloudside Hotel
Although our heritage-listed building dates from 1900, Cloudside is a totally new hotel right in the heart of Nelson's historic downtown, offering stylish, contemporary alternative to standard accommodations for the discerning traveler. With just eight guest rooms (three of which have two separate bedrooms), we offer a high level of personal service and attention to detail. All of our individually-designed, modern rooms have private bathrooms, high-speed Internet access, refreshment facilities with fridges, HD satellite TV, a/c and individually controlled heating.
Trail Museum & Archives
Situated in the Trail Riverfront Centre, the Trail Museum & Archives offers a glimpse into Trail's long history as a pioneer industrial town and sports haven. Feel free to contact staff in advance to ensure your group are able to visit together. While masks are not required, they are encouraged! The Trail Museum & Archives shares space with the Trail & District Public Library. Plentiful paid, on-street parking is available, with one free RV parking stall. We are also situated one block from the main public transit hub in downtown Trail. Feel free to contact staff in advance for any questions you may have. Historic O’Keefe Ranch
O'Keefe Ranch was founded in 1867 by Cornelius O'Keefe. His family lived on site for 110 years before it was opened as an historic ranch, meaning it still houses one of the most complete collections of one family's stuff (from the Victorian and Edwardian eras) in all of the province. Today O'Keefe Ranch is operated by a non-profit society and is a registered charity. Come visit us during our open season from May to October - stroll along the boardwalk, visit our original buildings (set up as they were more than 100 years ago!), visit the Greenhow museum, and go say hello to our many farm animals.
The Lake House

Tourism Discovery Centre
The Williams Lake Visitor Centre is here to help you with all your travel needs! We provide information on Williams Lake, the Cariboo region, and the rest of Canada. The Museum of the Cariboo Chilcotin is located in the back half of the building. The centre also boast a ice cream/gift/coffee shop, interactive displays, washrooms, seating areas, and free internet. Selkirk Mountain Experience: Durrand Glacier Chalet
Selkirk Mountain Experience has been listed as a "Best Adventure Travel Company on Earth" by National Geographic Adventure, three times. We are a family owned and operated adventure travel company, based at the Durrand Glacier Chalet, outside Revelstoke BC. This is a remote lodge, accessed by helicopter only. During summer months we offer alpine hiking with over 90 km of trails in a pristine and exclusive setting. Our 18 guests and resident marmots and mountain goats are the only beings using this trail network! In the winter we offer backcountry skiing, in the mecca of alpine powder skiing. Our 96 square km of private tenure offer some of the best skiing on earth, both in the alpine and in the trees. Glades, burns, 30+ summits, 10+ glaciers and the deepest snowpack in the Selkirk Mountains. In addition to the Durrand Glacier Chalet, we have two smaller chalets which we use to do overnight ski trips into the further reaches of our area. All three huts are clean, cozy and beautiful wooden chalets. The Durrand Glacier Chalet is our home base, with 11 private bedrooms and a spacious washroom facility steps from the bedrooms. This facility includes hot running showers, sinks and full indoor plumbing attached to a septic system. We also have a new sauna built in summer 2020 (primarily for winter use). The Durrand has fabulous alpine cuisine, with a private chef and a full staff of friendly, hard-working SME family. Fort St. John North Peace Museum
The Fort St. John North Peace Museum tells the story of the Fort St. John region from the dinosaurs to the oil and gas industries of today. Learn more about Indigenous people, the fur trade, homesteaders, and the development of Fort St. John and the North Peace region of British Columbia. Come explore a tepee, trapper's cabin, blacksmith's shop, 1921 school room, 1930s dentist office, missionary chapel, 1930 Outpost Hospital room, 1910 BC Police Barracks and Jail, Finch's General Store, and more! Try interactive activities like sorting mail in our post office. Our gift shop is a fabulous place to find books on the Peace Region, BC, Alberta, and the Yukon. We have a wide variety of souvenirs, clothing, stuffed animals, jewellery, and gifts. Our archives can help answer requests about the North Peace from photographs to genealogy. We're open Monday to Saturday year-round.
