Yuquot National Historic Site Of Canada
Continuously occupied for over 4,300 years, Yuquot village became the capital for all 17 tribes of the Nootka Sound region. Known as the Birthplace of BC where first contact with European explorers and traders occurred 250 years ago. Attracted to the security of the harbour, it became known to explorers as Friendly Cove. As a result, Yuquot developed into an important centre of trade and diplomacy, and it was briefly the site of Spains only military establishment in present-day Canada.

Ross Bay Villa
Journey back in time at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum, a volunteer-led museum and restoration project located in Fairfield. On Thursdays and Fridays at 11AM and 1PM, or Saturdays at 2PM, walk down the path past heritage apple trees and beautiful gardens and step into one of only a few 1860s houses still standing in Victoria. From the bright and airy drawing room to the charming childrens bedroom, the house has been restored with extraordinary care to appear as it did when the Roscoe family called it home. All funds support the volunteer-based Ross Bay Villa Society, which owns and operates Ross Bay Villa. Drop in a little early for your Saturday tour for our Gift Shop In the Garden.
