Sealegs Kayaking & Marine Adventure Centre offers wildlife kayaking tours, kayak and stand up paddle board (SUP) rentals and an Eco Adventure Centre pro-shop at Transfer Beach in Ladysmith. Paddle demonstrations, safety talks and a gear fittings are included with all rentals. The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the internment of over 22,000 Japanese Canadians during the Second World War. The Nikkei Internment Memorial Centre opened its doors in 1994 as an initiative from the New Denver Kyowakai Society to commemorate and honor the stories of over 22,000 Japanese Canadians who were stripped of their civil rights, labelled "enemy aliens" and uprooted from their coastal homes during the Second World War. Located on the site of a former internment camp, the original buildings, period artifacts, interpretive displays, and Heiwa Teien garden designed by the renowned Roy (Tomomichi) Sumi, chronicle this extraordinary episode in Canadian history.

This non-profit society manages over 20 km of nordic trails groomed for classic and skate winter skiing in two areas managed by the club. One area is in town at the Fernie Golf Course featuring 12 km of trails on fairly mellow terrain with wide open spaces. There are also more than 10 km of trails at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre next to Mount Fernie Provincial Park. To reach the Elk Valley Nordic Centre, go west from Fernie on Highway 3. At 3 km from the bridge, turn right at the Island Lake Lodge sign. Follow the road for 0.9 km to the Mt. Fernie Provincial Park sign. Turn left into the overflow parking lot at 0.2 km. The hilly terrain and isolated nature of the trails makes this a very exciting place to ski. The trails link up with the multi-use trails at Fernie Alpine Resort. Trail maps are posted at the kiosks located at the entrances to the trails. Please NO DOGS ON THE TRAILS at any time. The Elk Valley Nordic Centre Warming Hut is located at (49.485633 N, 115.090980 W).

Located in the heart of Whistler Creekside, Southside Lodge is situated 400m from the Creekside Gondola. Each room has everything you need to work/play and have a comfortable stay. There is a Washroom, Shower, Mini Fridge, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Cable TV, High Speed WiFi, Double bed, Single bed, Desk, Chair and Locker (bring your own lock) in every room. Our goal is to provide a safe, clean, warm, comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price close to the Lifts. If you are looking for luxury, youre in the wrong place. We are a Ski/Snowboard/Bike Lodge, plain and simple. Our building is old. It is clean and comfortable and has everything you need to have a great time in Whistler, without breaking the bank. You can always bring your gear into the rooms for piece of mind, bikes and skis included. We understand the two most important things are your laptop and your gear, and you want to keep them close. The Southside Lodge has 7 private cozy rooms available daily, weekly or monthly. We no longer offer shared accommodation. There is a shared full kitchen on the 3rd floor. The kitchen has two ranges, ovens, fridge/freezers and plenty of pots, pans, glassware, cutlery, etc. If you want to save money and cook your own food everything you need is there. That being said, the world famous Southside Diner is located on the ground floor. Theyre breakfasts are legendary and the line up on weekends is always out the door. There is a coin laundry, Southside Suds in the basement to keep your gear clean. Owned by the Southside Diner, the hours of operation are the same as the Southside Diner.

Est. in 1983, Parksville Museum has become home to original heritage buildings from Parksville and nearby surrounding areas. Our collection includes Parksville's second oldest church, the original Parksville Volunteer Fire Department building, and 2 cabins from Craig's By the Sea Auto Camp.
