Historically, Island Mountain Arts has sought to provide opportunities for the exhibition of professional artists in northern BC, for the benefit of both artists and northern communities. Relative to major urban centres, there have been minimal venues for exhibitions in the north, resulting in limited access to cultural activities for residents of small, isolated, or northern communities. Prior to 1988, Island Mountain Arts occasionally produced professional exhibitions by partnering with venues in Wells such as the Wells-Barkerville School, the Community Hall and the Wells Hotel, to exhibit artwork. With the restoration of the Hill Meat Market building in 1988 and creation of a public gallery, IMA was at last able to provide a secure professional venue for exhibits in Wells.

Wolf Valley is a remote retreat, an abundant acreage all surrounded by Crown land and filled with nature, wildlife, solitude. The Sooke Region Museum & Visitor Centre is a community museum that explores the human and natural heritage of the region from Sooke to Port Renfrew. The museum also operates the local visitor information centre for the region. We have both exhibits in the main museum building and around the grounds. In the Summer we are open 7 days a week. In the off season we are closed Mondays and most Stat holidays. Starting the first Thursday in June, and running until first Thursday in September, we host a night market from 5pm to 8pm and museum stays open during this event.We also usually are closed over Christmas and the first week of January. The museum holds various special event during the year, has a gift shop with local arts & crafts, plus can do special meals for pre-booked tour groups.

We are a family owned and operated lakefront resort with lodging in modern, well-maintained cabins and RV park. We offer pontoon boat, aluminum boat with motor, kayak and canoe rentals. Each cabin and RV site has it's own assigned dock space. The fishing is great, Loon Lake has native rainbow trout only; it not stocked, but the fish are plentiful. Beautiful natural landscape with riparian shoreline. There is no beach, but enjoying a float, swimming off the end of the docks and jumping off a rented pontoon boat are very popular water activities on hot days. RV park has coin operated showers, bathrooms, firepits, free firewood and is pet friendly.
