Langara Golf Course is a traditional-style course located on the south slope of Vancouver. Built in 1926 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the course was redesigned by Canadian Architect Thomas McBroom. The contoured, tree-lined fairways are easy to walk and make this challenging par 71 course appealing to players of all levels. The large rolling greens make scoring a challenge and, with its narrow fairways, accuracy off the tee is paramount. The walkability of the golf course makes it appealing to everyone.
Founded in 2004, the Smith Family built Howling Bluff Estate Winery and vineyard from scratch on our farm on Three Mile Rd that is now part of the famous Naramata Bench wine region. We released our first vintage, the 2006 Sauvignon Blanc, in the spring of 2007. Four BC Lieutenant Governor awards, one Silver in the Decanter World Wine awards, one Red Wine of the Year award, and too many other accolades to count later, Howling Bluff is now focused on finding the best expression of our vineyard for our wines while making sure we create a legacy of a sustainable family winery that our children will continue with far into the future. From our solar panels to our biodynamic, organic and most importantly to us sustainable farming and winemaking practices, added to our efforts to buying local when possible to our most ambitious mission yet: to use, as much as possible, products that have the lowest possible footprint on our planet.
