Located in beautiful Cow Bay, Saltwater Bakery and Provisions is a place to come together. The bakery offers an array of artisanal breads, sweet and savoury pastries, and signature desserts as well as homemade ice cream and a selection of local products from across Northern BC. Saltwater is the essence of life on the North Coast and symbolizes two of the essential three ingredients in traditional bread making – grain, water, and salt – brought to life by natural fermentation through the skilled hands of the craft baker. Saltwater Bakery’s open concept bakeshop is a perfect place to linger and watch the bakers work their craft while enjoying the tastes and aromas of a fresh new bakery experience.

This well-treed campground offers a private and peaceful setting for campers of all kinds, with a deep forest on the south end in the first-come, first-served section, transitioning to a wetland on the north end in the reservable section. Lowhee Campground has 47 campsites that can be booked in advance, as well as 33 campsites in the first-come, first-served section. It features a playground, three washroom buildings with flush toilets and potable water, as well as a coin-operated shower house. Bear-proof garbage and recycling bins are offered in central locations throughout the campground. All campsites are equipped with a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and campfire ring. Firewood is available for an additional fee of $10 per day. Campsites are an average of 50 feet long and 14 feet wide and can accommodate most trailers and RVs when backed into the sites. Pull-through sites are available in the Forest Rose Campground. Lowhee Campground is located along the west side of Barkerville Highway, 2 km north of the Barkerville Visitor Centre. Guests can travel back and forth from the Historic Zone to Lowhee via the highway, or via a well-groomed walking path alongside the highway. Lowhee Campground is part of the 1,100-hectare property that forms Barkerville Historic Town & Park and is managed by Barkerville Heritage Trust.

Our story goes back a long way. Over a hundred years and five generations in fact. From running cattle to fruit growing, our family's experience and love for agriculture has remained strong. We've learnt a few things along the way; paramount being conservation. Being stewards of the land which has provided for so many, for so long, is a task we take seriously. Our spacious property is located next to one of British Columbias oldest and most beautiful golf courses. We have RV sites and a large play area for children and pets. You can stay in a modern cozy villa or one of our serviced RV sites. We are only a short walk to the very relaxing Kettle River. There you can catch a trout or take a very enjoyable float down the peaceful river. We have an abundance of wild life on and around the property. Everything from song birds and birds of prey to deer and elk.

Nestled in the heart of sledding and houseboat country, are our three newly built cabins. Each cabin includes two bedrooms, with one single bed and one double bed in each room. One living room with a futon, a fully functional kitchen, and one bathroom with a stand up shower. Each cabin is equipped with its very own drying room for our sledding, snowboarding, and skiing guests.
