A short, 2 hour drive down the famous Hill, or Freedom Highway, is the Bella Coola Valley and the Great Bear Rainforest. Don't forget your camera as you transition from pine plateau to coastal rainforest, as there will be many photo opportunities along the way including grizzly bears and snow capped mountains. The Stanley Park Railway is one of Vancouver's most popular attractions, welcoming over 200,000 visitors per year. Situated on a site cleared by Typhoon Freda in 1962, the two kilometer track travels through the forest in iconic Stanley Park. Kids of all ages will enjoy the fun relaxing ride in a replica of Canadian Pacific Railway Engine #374, famous for pulling Canada's first transcontinental passenger train into Vancouver in the late 1880s. The railway hosts events for Easter, Halloween and Christmas and is open for the summer from end-June through Labour Day.

Selkirk Mountain Experience has been listed as a "Best Adventure Travel Company on Earth" by National Geographic Adventure, three times. We are a family owned and operated adventure travel company, based at the Durrand Glacier Chalet, outside Revelstoke BC. This is a remote lodge, accessed by helicopter only. During summer months we offer alpine hiking with over 90 km of trails in a pristine and exclusive setting. Our 18 guests and resident marmots and mountain goats are the only beings using this trail network! In the winter we offer backcountry skiing, in the mecca of alpine powder skiing. Our 96 square km of private tenure offer some of the best skiing on earth, both in the alpine and in the trees. Glades, burns, 30+ summits, 10+ glaciers and the deepest snowpack in the Selkirk Mountains. In addition to the Durrand Glacier Chalet, we have two smaller chalets which we use to do overnight ski trips into the further reaches of our area. All three huts are clean, cozy and beautiful wooden chalets. The Durrand Glacier Chalet is our home base, with 11 private bedrooms and a spacious washroom facility steps from the bedrooms. This facility includes hot running showers, sinks and full indoor plumbing attached to a septic system. We also have a new sauna built in summer 2020 (primarily for winter use). The Durrand has fabulous alpine cuisine, with a private chef and a full staff of friendly, hard-working SME family. Hi, my name is Josephine, and I am the Property Manager here at TikiVillage in beautiful Vernon, BC. Our beautiful garden area is so relaxing and it was wonderful to see barbecues for the guest use. I have grown to love my job and I am very lucky to have met so many wonderful people from all over the world. I want to announce that I am aware that we show our age, but the rooms and linens are clean and you wont ever meet a greater team. The Tiki will be retiring soon to make way for a bigger Hotel, so we are what we are and we strive to make up for it in many other ways. Take care everyone and maybe see you all before she is gone and when she is resurrected. Thank you As of December 2022 we will no longer be accepting cash for rentals. February 2023 the outdoor pool is permanently shut down to unforeseen circumstances.
