This Farmers' Market offers a unique experience with a permanent outdoor marketplace during the spring/summer including vendor booths, a food barn, a bandshell for local music and a miniature train that runs during the Sunday market. You will find fresh, locally grown produce, meats and eggs as well as fresh baking and preserves. There's plenty of ready to eat food to keep you satisfied as you listen to live music, enjoy local craftspeople and relax around the stage or the children's sandbox. For a relaxing experience to help you get a good sense of what Powell River community feels like, join us from May-Sept on Saturdays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm and year round on Sundays from 12:30 pm - 2:30pm at 4365 McLeod Road. Plenty of parking available including 10 handicap spots close to the entrance.

During the pandemic, the Sidney Street Market was transformed into the "Sidney Outdoor Markets". Its new location off Beacon Avenue, next to the Mary Winspear Centre, hosts two markets per week throughout the summer. The new location offers plenty of nearby parking, larger, less crowded laneways to walk, convenient public washrooms and a wonderful variety of local and regional growers, producers, artists, musicians and creators that consist of many of our old favourites along with loads of new, exciting vendors. All of this is still just steps away from beautiful downtown Sidney and the many shops, restaurants and waterfront walkway. The Sidney Famer's Market takes place everything Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm beginning on Mother's Day, May 8 and ending on September 25. Farmstrong Cider Company is a family based business in the Okanagan Valley making small batch craft cider on a heritage farm established in 1896. We do not take reservations, first come, first served. We have a full lunch and dinner menu with vegan & gluten free options. We have a large parking lot and are RV friendly. We are family friendly. We do request that parents have their children seated with them and all times. As Farmstrong is a working farm children should not be unattended inside or outside for any reason. For their safety they need to be with their parents at all times. Our historic barn does not have AC or heating so please dress for the weather of the day of your visit.
