Since 1986 we have been operating tours in the pristine waterways of Queen Charlotte Strait, Johnstone Strait (Robson Bight), and Blackfish Sound. This area is considered the best place to find Northern resident orca. Large numbers of humpback whales also congregate here during the summer months. Other marine mammals such as Biggs (transient) orca, minke whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, Dalls porpoises, sea otters, Northern sea lions, and harbour seals are regularly sighted on tours. We take 11 people maximum and pride ourselves in offering a more personalized approach to whale watching. The small group sizes offer more intimacy with the wildlife and an opportunity to interact with the skipper. The boat has a marine toilet onboard and provides enough space that when stationary, guests are welcome to move about the boat to take photographs and enjoy the dynamic scenery and wildlife. It is a perfect whale watching platform. We offer ethical, educational, and meaningful experiences.

Morningstar Farm is home to Little Qualicum Cheeseworks. Guests can enjoy free self-guided tours, a farmgate store, small and large animals to see, and Canada's first "milk on tap" dispenser. Open year-round.

We are a 100% certified organic cidery located on the beautiful Salt Spring Island. We bought our property in 2011 and became certified organic shortly after in 2013. Currently, the ingredients in the majority of our products are grown on property using our over 3,500 apple trees consisting of over 450 varieties. What we dont source from our orchard, we get from other farms on Salt Spring Island. We mainly focus on dry cider as we feel it best captures the complexity and taste of our apples, however with our incredible range of 16 ciders, we have something for everyone. If our ciders didnt catch your attention, the view from our tasting room and orchard sure will! We sit on over 3 acres of land with an unbelievable view of the water and mountains. The North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre is located in a park-like setting with a peaceful rustic atmosphere. When visiting the centre you will be able to view eagles, several species of owls, falcons, hawks, ravens, and black bears. Rehabilitating eagles can be viewed through one way glass in the largest flight enclosure of its kind in Canada. The Centre's mandate is the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native wildlife, with a focus on raptors and black bears. GUIDED TOURS: are available for groups of 15 or more. HOURS OF OPERATION: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7 days a week. ENTRANCE FEES: $15.00.00 adults, $6.00 children aged 3-12, plus applicable taxes.
