Coastal Rainforest Safaris delivers exciting wilderness experiences by Rigid Hull Inflatable boats amongst the diverse wildlife of British Columbias Great Bear Rainforest. Departing from Port Hardy, we offer guests an immersive nature experience told from a unique, Indigenous perspective that explores our connection to the land, sea, wildlife, and the history that makes the area what it is now.

Often referred to as the best place to stay on the Alaska Highway, the Northern Rockies Lodge is the newest and most impressive hotel in the Liard River (hot springs), Toad River and Muncho Lake region. We are located on Mile 462 of the historic Alaska Highway on the shores of beautiful Muncho Lake. As a remote lodge, we pride ourselves in maintaining a high level of service for our guests in the middle of the untouched wilderness of Muncho Lake. Our facilities include a hotel, dining room and lounge, cabins, lakeshore chalets, RV Park, gas station, picnic areas, sauna, playground, floatplane dock, boat ramp and more. All of our facilities are available for our guests including Wifi. We are proud to be able to provide our guests with most of the modern comforts despite being so remote. The Northern Rockies Lodge operates year round without any government subsidies and we were able to build over the last 3+ decades a self-sufficient village in the wilderness for you: We generate our own power, our own water and sewage systems. In addition to providing overnight accommodations for the Alcan travellers, we are also a popular vacation destination for many guests. Come to the Northern Rockies Lodge to get away from the city stress: Enjoy world class fly in fishing, canoeing and flightseeing tours around the Muskwa Kechika and to Virginia Falls at Nahanni National Park.

We offer 10 log lakeside cabins. And over 20 campsites all located on Fishpot Lake. The main lodge has a licensed resterant, small convienence store and sells basic fishing and hunting supplies and tags. We have a swim dock with diving board and can boast nice swimming through the summer months. We rent boats with electric motors and a canoe as well for touring around the lake. We also have a boat launch, but we do have a motor boat restriction size of 10 horsepower or less gas motors. We have a covered barbeque area and a playground for children as well. With a maximum of eight riders, and a variety of options and choices, our rides are enjoyed by all levels of rider. We welcome children, novices and experienced riders.
