We invite you to come and catch your breath. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the rugged British Columbia coast, protected by the islands and inlets of the Broughton Archipelago. Our intimate 38-acre setting on Malcolm Island welcomes families, friends, business associates, and individuals as guests. A maximum of 18 guests per trip allows for personal service that cannot be matched. Built in the mid 1900s, the lodge is rich in history and unique architecture. The main lodge is the center of the property where you spend cocktail hour, and dine in our ocean view dining room. Our historic farm setting is also home to a herd of alpacas. While at Sointula Lodge, guests stay in one of our 12 guest rooms, which are either original Cedar cabins or small log cabins built with Vancouver Island Douglas Fir trees. All of our cabins are furnished to feel like a home away from home. Most rooms have two beds in each room and all cabins have a private bath. Comfortable beds are adorned with down comforters and cotton sheets. Cabin extras include cozy robes, Canadian bath amenities, daily room service and turn down services, outdoor seating and ocean views. Fishing Package: Our calm, protected waters offer one of the most unique saltwater fishing experiences on the British Columbia Coast. All five species of pacific salmon, as well as halibut, lingcod, and other bottom fish can be caught just minutes from our dock. Our 4-day and 5-day all-inclusive fishing packages offer access to remote coastal fishing grounds, premium fish processing, luxury accommodations and dining, wine and spirits. The Fair at the PNE is the best part of summer! For the last two weeks of August through the Labour Day long weekend, The Fair features more than 50 rides and attractions, nightly concerts, live performances, agricultural and animal displays, games, and food. It's fun for all ages plus children 13 years and under are free with an adult admission. The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) fairgrounds was established in 1910 to showcase British Columbia. The PNE operates on a 114-acre site at the City of Vancouver-owned Hastings Park and consists of Playland, the annual 15-day Fair at the PNE, and Fright Nights at Playland. The PNE also includes year-round rental facilities for concerts, conventions, trade shows and sporting events with the Pacific Coliseum the largest venue within Hastings Park. The Pacific Coliseum was proud to be the official venue for Short Track Speed Skating and Figure Skating during the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and is currently home to the WHL's Vancouver Giants hockey team. No single location in Vancouver captures the spirit and history of this city, its people and its many achievements as the Pacific National Exhibition. For over 100 years, millions of guests have enjoyed shows, exhibits, sporting events, amusement rides, concerts, cultural activities and, of course, the annual Fair at the PNE.
