Macaloney's Island Distillery & Twa Dogs Brewery is a producer of premium malt whiskies and superb craft beers. Our basic tour lasts 45 mins and begins in our visitors centre and flows the way the spirits go, past the grist mill where you can taste some of the various strains of malted & un- malted barley, or other cereals that we as a craft brewer as well as a distiller get to play and experiment with. Onward into the heart of the Brew & Still house through the smells of the mash tun & wash backs, past the gleaming swan necked Stills and then up into the warehouse and bottling hall before returning back to the visitors centre for a wee dram of two of the whiskies in our Macaloney Cask Selection series along with three of our craft beers. A 28 acre private nature park. We have a No Amplified Music policy which means no music please. Of course, that does not mean that the campground runs in a meditative state, as acoustic guitar and singing is welcome. The entire property, including washrooms and pay showers, are immaculate. Paradise Valley Campgrounds location is known as front country this area is a natural habitat for many forms of wildlife. Typically, wild animals fear humans and are rarely seen or heard. If they are attracted by food and/or garbage left out around the campground, their fear diminishes and they become what is known as habituated; the fear is gone and they take what they want. Keeping our property clean has prevented wildlife from becoming habituated. To this end the campground provides several bear proof garbage and recycling containers.

Castlegar Sculpturewalk is an annual exhibition of outdoor sculptures, located on a pleasant walking tour in downtown Castlegar. Viewers are encouraged to vote for their favourite sculpture via ballot - the winner of the People's Choice award is purchased by the City for the permanent collections. All of the artworks are available for sale or lease. Ballots/maps are located in red ballot boxes along the route (the start of the route is at the Kootenay Market (635 Columbia Avenue), though you can begin the walk from anywhere. Ballots/maps are also available at the Castlegar Chamber of Commerce, City Hall, or the Kootenay Gallery.
