The Silvery Slocan Museum, located in the former Bank of Montreal building on Main Street, has been a fixture in New Denver B.C. for over 100 years. The museum features exhibits about the area's heritage, including its mining, logging and agricultural history, as well as the recently restored Lancet motor launch. Admission is by donation.

Our 2-bedroom, bed and breakfast is in beautiful West Courtenay, which is approximately 90 minutes north of the Nanaimo ferries (via the 19A Oceanview route, or 70 minutes (via the Inland Highway), 15 minutes from the Comox Valley Airport and about 15 minutes from the Powell River Ferry Terminal. There are 6 golf courses, including the world-class Crown Isle Golf & Country Club. Beautiful parks and hiking trails just a short walk or drive from Arbour Cottage B & B. Mount Washington, Strathcona Provincial Park and Paradise Meadows only 32 minutes away. B & B within driving distance to unique shops in downtown Courtenay. Two bedrooms available, both queen. Operated by the Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society, the Agassiz-Harrison Museum & Visitor Information Centre preserves and promotes Agassiz-Harrison Valley history, heritage and culture of Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, and Harrison Mills. Amenities include our wheelchair accessible, family friendly 1893 heritage CPR station, which houses two museum galleries, archives, gift shop, and a full service visitor information booth. There is plenty of free parking and a picnic/play area in adjacent Pioneer Park. We are located off Highway 7 in downtown Agassiz, south of the railway tracks and within walking distance to local businesses and restaurants. We are open year round. Summer hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM daily. Winter hours are 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Wednesday - Saturday.
