During the winter season, the ski lifts are only a 10-minute walk or short bus trip away, via the complimentary village shuttle which stops directly outside the lodge. After a big day of activity, drop your skis off at the complimentary ski valet in the lobby and head straight to our relaxing outdoor pool and hot tubs (9am-10pm) to soak those tired muscles and unwind. Other features of the Cascade Lodge include secure underground parking (for a fee), laundry in our common areas (coin operated) or in-suite (1 and 2 bedroom suites), fitness room, male and female sauna, conference room and bike storage.

Wolf Valley is a remote retreat, an abundant acreage all surrounded by Crown land and filled with nature, wildlife, solitude. A hidden place in the wilderness of south-central British Columbia which you can explore by foot, bike or on the back of a horse. We are a small all-inclusive guest ranch. The Deep Bay Marine Field Station provides many learning opportunities for the public. We have aquariums and touch tanks that help to interpret the local marine environment to our visitors. A visit to the station can be quite an interactive experience! We have both guided and self-guided tours that provide interpretation on several themes along with occasional public lectures and special events.

Left Field Cider Co. is family owned and operated craft cider company making traditional, full juice cider in the heart of BCs Interior. Located on Highway 97C between Merritt and Logan Lake, we are open for tastings every Friday, Saturday and Sunday all summer long.

The Daajing Giids Visitor Center is located on the waterfront with gorgeous ocean views. We are an excellent local source of information when visiting Haida Gwaii. Inside the longhouse inspired building you will find engaging, resourceful staff, artisan galleries, a gift shop as well as useful interpretive materials. Head outside to our garden and picnic area to relax and take in the fresh air. We also have a large day parking area for RVs and clean indoor public restrooms. We are closed seasonally from December until mid-April. We will be intermittently checking our email; and voicemail messages throughout this time. Stay tuned for our reopening date in Spring!

Your day will start with a scenic jet boat trip down Quesnel Lake to the Cariboo Mountains Park and into the wetlands of the Mitchell and Penfold Rivers. This eco system is as it has been for all time. Your senses will be rewarded with sights of Salmon swimming in the crystal clear river, beavers swimming with tree branches in their mouth. Rounding a bend in the river you can spot grizzly bears feeding on the returning salmon. Large Giant Ancient Cedar Forests surround you so you have the chance to hike in un-spoiled wilderness. This adventure can be extended for up to a week by staying at our out post cabin at the end of the North arm of Quesnel Lake. The river will be full of red sockeye salmon. You will need to bring a telephoto lens for those shots of a life time. You will see Grizzly cubs with thier mothers as well as big male grizzlies.
