The Daajing Giids Visitor Center is located on the waterfront with gorgeous ocean views. We are an excellent local source of information when visiting Haida Gwaii. Inside the longhouse inspired building you will find engaging, resourceful staff, artisan galleries, a gift shop as well as useful interpretive materials. Head outside to our garden and picnic area to relax and take in the fresh air. We also have a large day parking area for RVs and clean indoor public restrooms. We are closed seasonally from December until mid-April. We will be intermittently checking our email; and voicemail messages throughout this time. Stay tuned for our reopening date in Spring!
The Fort Nelson Heritage Museum is situated just West of the historic Mile 300 milepost on the World Famous Alaska Highway. The museum is located in Fort Nelson, BC, Canada and is operated by the Fort Nelson Historical Society. An easily-accessible, roadside park with a sub-alpine lake, Nancy Greene Provincial Park is a welcoming and convenient site for day-users and campers. The park is a popular overnight stop for RVer's and also provides day-use for local residents wishing to escape the summer heat of the valley. It's picturesque lake makes it a great spot to enjoy fishing, picnicking, walking, swimming, and nordic skiing in the winter. Grizzly Bear sightings are common in Spring and early Summer. Open from May 15 through the last weekend in September.
