The Nkmip Desert Cultural Centre is a 9,000 square-foot interpretive centre that exhibits 2 films, the Inkameep Day School Art Collection, indoor and outdoor interactive exhibits, a 1.5 km walking trail, and reconstructed traditional Okanagan village, and (visitor favourite) interpreter hosted programs which boast a fun filled experience for all ages! The centre is also an architectural marvel, and was built from local, sustainable materials.

In the heart of our Brewery is our Back Porch Tasting Room & Campfire Kitchen, where you can always count on us for delicious food, great beer and even better friends. Visit us for a pint or a flight of our 15 beers on tap brewed on-site, fill your Growler and stay for the weekly live music.

The Fraser River Discovery Centre is a fun and friendly place for families of all ages in the heart of New Westminster, BC. We are here to discover the environment, economy and culture of the Fraser River through rotating exhibits and hands-on activities. This non-profit society manages over 20 km of nordic trails groomed for classic and skate winter skiing in two areas managed by the club. One area is in town at the Fernie Golf Course featuring 12 km of trails on fairly mellow terrain with wide open spaces. There are also more than 10 km of trails at the Elk Valley Nordic Centre next to Mount Fernie Provincial Park. To reach the Elk Valley Nordic Centre, go west from Fernie on Highway 3. At 3 km from the bridge, turn right at the Island Lake Lodge sign. Follow the road for 0.9 km to the Mt. Fernie Provincial Park sign. Turn left into the overflow parking lot at 0.2 km. The hilly terrain and isolated nature of the trails makes this a very exciting place to ski. The trails link up with the multi-use trails at Fernie Alpine Resort. Trail maps are posted at the kiosks located at the entrances to the trails. Please NO DOGS ON THE TRAILS at any time. The Elk Valley Nordic Centre Warming Hut is located at (49.485633 N, 115.090980 W).

Sept 4 to Dec 20 2025 Carr House is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10-4 for self-guided tours. Wander around the garden, explore the house, and browse the gift shop! Guided tours are offered on Fridays and Saturdays at 10, Noon, and 2 p.m. Carr House closes occasionally for special events. Please call ahead to confirm hours.
