Pirate Adventures
Set sail aboard The Black Spirit and prepare yourselves for an interactive Pirate Adventure like no other. Burnaby Village Museum
Where History Comes to Life - Stroll down the streets of our 1920s community. Period costumed townsfolk welcome visitors and give demonstrations in the homes, businesses and shops. Visitors can feel the heat of the fire as the blacksmith works at the forge, hear the rhythm of the platen press at the Burnaby Post, smell freshly ground coffee in the General Store, be a 1920s student in a one-room schoolhouse, watch the tinsmith cut, crimp & curl flat sheets of tin into useful household items. Everyone is welcome to take a ride on the 1912 CW Parker Carousel, explore the restored 1912 Interurban Tram, and enjoy a treat in the Ice Cream Parlour. The Village is open seasonally (Spring Break in March, Summer Season- early May to Labour Day, and Heritage Christmas-late November to early January) and year-round for pre-booked groups and programs.

As our guest, you believe in buying experiences (not things) and taking pictures (not souvenirs)! Our hikes are based on physical ability, from half day easy walks to multiple day camping trips in Vancouver, BC and the Rockies, AB. Everyone of varying skills is welcome to attend, whether you carry a DSLR or iPhone. Our small groups allow for one-on-one, customized, instructions as well as keen attention to your hiking experience. Our photographer and guide is an avid traveler, photographer and hiker. Spending over a decade each in British Columbia and Alberta, he has organized hikes for 15+ years for locals and visitors. He has also traveled to 56 countries in 6 continents. He loves to share his passion for travel, the outdoors and photography with everyone!

The Vancouver Maritime Museum is a fun, family-friendly place to explore and learn about the sea and the ships that sail it. Climb aboard the historic St. Roch, the first ship to make the west-east traverse of the Northwest Passage. Wander the decks and immerse yourself in the experience of the crew who worked aboard the boat in the 1940s. Kids can imagine, create and play in Underwater World, and the whole family can explore galleries and exhibits that chronicle the rich maritime history of the Pacific Northwest and the Arctic. Enjoy rotating art exhibits that explore our relationship with the sea and take in exhibits on shipwrecks, lighthouses, early fur trade, fireboats, warships, deep-ocean exploration, ship models, the Arctic and more.
Blue Grouse Estate Winery and Vineyard
One of the oldest Estate Wineries in all of British Columbia, Blue Grouse is truly a magical place! Nestled on a 65 arce piece of unspoiled Cowichan Valley countryside, this winery and vineyard produces some of the most awarded wines on the entire island! Sandpiper Golf Course
Nestled in centuries-old forest and surrounded by the West Coasts idyllic landscape, Sandpiper Golf Course is a beautiful 18-hole golf course. Open 364 days a year, this par 72 course runs 6,500 yards from the back tees, and is gently sloped featuring four sets of tees for all playing abilities. Backroads Whistler – River of Golden Dreams
Discover Whistler's original summer activity the legendary River of Golden Dreams and scenic Alta Lake The flat water river is more than just a float, its an Exploring Adventure. Spectacular views of mountain peaks, Beaver, Eagles, Osprey, Herons and even Black Bears are regular sights that will have you eagerly wondering whats around the next bend. Unlike an amusement park ride River of Golden Dreams trips allow you to be an active participant, one of the reasons people keep coming back to paddle the river. In the spring the water levels can be high and moving though always flat and no rapids. By mid-summer water levels are gentle. By late summer the beaver start rebuilding their dams creating pools to paddle in. Guides are recommended, though experienced river paddlers go unguided. Our River trips have limited availability and often sell out, please pre book to assure your spot. Located at Lakeside Park minutes from Whistler Village.
