The Douglas J. Husband Discovery Centre is an accessible space for dialogue and discovery about our communitys past, present, and future. Featuring authentic objects, digital experiences, and fascinating stories, all are welcome to engage with Deltas storied history. Learn by using the touchscreens in our galleries and creating new land forms in our sand table. Averill Creek is a low intervention winery on Vancouver Island. Our aim is to produce honest wines that reflect our site and the vintage, but that first and foremost give pleasure. By intervening less, we are able to provide a clear segue from vineyard to glass.

Established in 2009, Maverick Estate Winery is nestled against the western slope of the South Okanagan Valley on the picturesque "Golden Mile Slopes". Our pursuit of excellence and originality has led to the development of this unique vineyard site.Our tasting room is open for personalized wine tastings for limited hours in March and April, daily from May to October, and by appointment November to February.
