Settle into life at the beach in your choice of studio suites, one or two bedroom cabins. Our rustic structures have long been admired for their spirited beehive design and astounding beachfront location. Higgin's Inn is a spacious well planned facility close to the most popular beach in Powell River. The suites are large former apartments, beautifully appointed, and fully equipped for short or long-term accommodation. Each suite has a full kitchen, dining room, living room private bath and one, two or three bedrooms. We also have our newest addition: A ground-floor accessibility suite with special features in the kitchen and bathroom to make our guests with mobility challenges extra comfortable. The Penthouse suite is our most popular especially for family and friends reunions.

This well-treed campground offers a private and peaceful setting for campers of all kinds, with a deep forest on the south end in the first-come, first-served section, transitioning to a wetland on the north end in the reservable section. Lowhee Campground has 47 campsites that can be booked in advance, as well as 33 campsites in the first-come, first-served section. It features a playground, three washroom buildings with flush toilets and potable water, as well as a coin-operated shower house. Bear-proof garbage and recycling bins are offered in central locations throughout the campground. All campsites are equipped with a wheelchair-accessible picnic table and campfire ring. Firewood is available for an additional fee of $10 per day. Campsites are an average of 50 feet long and 14 feet wide and can accommodate most trailers and RVs when backed into the sites. Pull-through sites are available in the Forest Rose Campground. Lowhee Campground is located along the west side of Barkerville Highway, 2 km north of the Barkerville Visitor Centre. Guests can travel back and forth from the Historic Zone to Lowhee via the highway, or via a well-groomed walking path alongside the highway. Lowhee Campground is part of the 1,100-hectare property that forms Barkerville Historic Town & Park and is managed by Barkerville Heritage Trust.

Cascade Cove RV Park is a family run property and a great place to stay with over 70 fully serviced RV sites offering both 30 and 50 amp power, great drinking water and sewer hook-ups. We also offer tenting sites with water and power available. Some of these sites overlook the Kettle River and our small cove and beach. We have public washrooms with coin operated showers along with laundry facilities. Firewood and ice are available at the office. The facility is very much family and pet friendly with a playground and safe beach. Lots of places explore through giant old growth cedar forest including the famous Trans Canada Trail. Close to the RV Park is the spectacular Cascade Gorge. The friendly community of Christina Lake is only a few minutes down the highway and the public beach offers swimming, boating and fishing on one of the warmest lakes in BC.

With mountains all around us, the view from our Grand Sundeck is amazing all year! Our Café & Market are open from 8am to 4pm Thursdays through to Mondays (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). Open for breakfast and lunch. While here shop our plentiful organic produce market, or try our fresh bread, take-away meals, and many other locally sourced products. Serving up "comfort food with attitude", this B&B will be worth the trip.

Self Serve Breakfast - there is a kitchenette for storing and preparing meals but there is no stove for guests to cook, though we do have a microwave and a BBQ.

Constructed entirely of cedar, the Great Room (the former worship room) of this magnificent building features vaulted 14 cedar ceilings, four conversation nooks and a dining room with ocean and mountain views. Indigenous art hangs on our walls, and books of many variations grace our library. Outside is a wrap around sundeck. The lodge is the perfect place to take in the ocean, inhale the cedar aroma and loose yourself in the serene vibe of this place.
