Welcome to Nass Base Camp! Two and a half hours north from the main lodge in Terrace you will find a cozy operation on the banks of Meziaden Lake that has a strong and loyal client base who return to this special place annually. If you are lucky enough to secure a spot, you will understand why anglers are drawn back here every year. The rivers are medium sized and easy to read and wade. Due to the lodges remote location, the chance of seeing other anglers is extremely rare. Each morning we will trailer our boats to different locations on multiple rivers. Our lodge is very casual and rustic. If you want to experience the real untamed north of Beautiful British Columbia, dont wait too long to garner your slot in one of the least known and most desirable Steelhead programs of British Columbia. Holly Hill Petting Farm is the proud home of Vancouver Island's only baby wallabies! We're an interactive and expansive petting farm nestled in the heart of Campbell River. There's always something special happening at the farm, from the Christmas Stable with Santa to the Easter Extravaganza and Pumpkin Patch. From March through October, you're invited to explore and immerse yourself in our free-ranging barnyard. Get ready for a truly hands-on experience as you hold chickens, snuggle baby bunnies, brush mini goats, and hand-feed our friendly alpacas and horse. If you're lucky, you might even witness the birth of a newborn sheep or goat! Currently open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM for drop-in visitors. The Vanderhoof Tourism and Cultural Centre opened its doors on June 30, 2022 and is located on the corner of Highway 16 and Pine Street on the traditional territory of Saikuz First Nation. Stop in to pick up some brochures, check out some local art, and chat with one of the friendly Visitor Services Specialists about the exciting things you can do in Vanderhoof. The Vanderhoof Community Museum is also located on these grounds. We encourage you to take a tour through our collection of six historic buildings at your own pace or with a guide. Admission is by donation and includes a large RV parking lot, free WIFI, wheelchair accessible picnic tables and a 1.5km interpretive walking trail. We hope to see you soon!
