Our new focus is guided walking and coach tours for groups of 10-40 participants. We visit specially selected local, family-run businesses - everything from interesting agriculture facilities to wine and cider producers to delicious eateries. Along the way we share information about Kelowna, the valley, and the sights and entertaining stories that make our city so special. Guests will sample tantalizing cuisine and refreshments prepared by local chefs and food artisans. We are a beachfront resort with 11 self catering cabins. We offer one and two bedroom units with full kitchens, full bathrooms all with beautiful ocean and mountain views on a safe sandy beach. We are located between Courtney and Campbell River on Saratoga Beach and are 30 mins drive from beautiful Mount Washington. The Canadian Wildlife Museum is located just minutes north of Vernon B.C. We offer an outstanding arrangement of Wildlife Displays, most of which the average person would never see in the wild. There are over 350 mounted specimens, ranging in size from mice to bison, including over 120 birds of prey and over 115 different species of Canadian wildlife. There is also a large butterfly and moth collection. There are 45 viewing stations, with over 220 different scenes of wildlife. The excellence in taxidermy workmanship and amazing artwork is not just in the mounted animals but also in the natural detailed dioramas. There is also a Gift Shop with many very unique wildlife/nature related novelties, souvenirs, and gifts.

Our 18-hole, Les Furber-designed Golf Course was named "one of Canadas top new courses" by Golf Digest Magazine. Established in 1916 as part of the Dominion Experimental Farm, now the Summerland Research and Development Centre, the 6 hectare, Summerland Ornamental Gardens was designed to help residents, choose ornamental plants for their gardens that would be suitable for the dry Okanagan climate. In collaboration with Agriculture Canada, the site is maintained by the non-profit society, the Friends of Summerland Ornamental Gardens. As you stroll through the Gardens you will have views of Okanagan Lake, Giant's Head Mountain and the Trout Creek Trestle railroad bridge, an outstanding engineering feat constructed for the Kettle Valley Railway. Visit the demonstration garden beds and learn principles of water-smart gardening with the diverse Welcome Garden, Xeriscape Garden, Butterfly Garden, Vegetable garden, Canadian Heritage Rose garden, Fairy Garden and more. The gardens are open year-round. Our society gratefully requests a minimum donation $5.00 per person to keep us growing.

BIG Little Science Centre is a fun Hands-On venue for Families. During drop-in times our hands-on rooms are open for visitors to tour at their leisure. The site has approximately 140 stations of hands-on activities to try.
