The Kootenay Lake Historical Society is the custodian of the S.S. Moyie, the world's oldest intact passenger sternwheeler. The Moyie plied Kootenay Lake for 59 years - it is now a National Historic Site and Museum. Open from May through October, visitors are taken back in time when the board the vessel. Radley Park Campground is owned and operated by the District of Kitimat from the beginning of May to October each year. Located on the banks of the Kitimat River it makes for an ideal getaway or fishing base. Radley boasts 18 electrical sites and flush toilets and showers. Along with large picnic area ideal for family get togethers.

The Sointula Resource Centre operates the official Visitor Centre for Sointula and Malcolm Island. Stop here first for maps, island information and details on local businesses. We offer a free bike share and e-bike rental program from May through October (more information can be found here - mibike.ca). We have public-use computers, offer tech and web assistance, and provide office services such as printing, copying, scanning, faxing, laminating, and more.
