Closed (for now). As a sole operator business, I've had to step back from running tours while focusing full-time on protecting endangered old-growth forests in BC. The North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre is located in a park-like setting with a peaceful rustic atmosphere. When visiting the centre you will be able to view eagles, several species of owls, falcons, hawks, ravens, and black bears. Rehabilitating eagles can be viewed through one way glass in the largest flight enclosure of its kind in Canada. The Centre's mandate is the rehabilitation of injured and orphaned native wildlife, with a focus on raptors and black bears. GUIDED TOURS: are available for groups of 15 or more. HOURS OF OPERATION: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 7 days a week. ENTRANCE FEES: $15.00.00 adults, $6.00 children aged 3-12, plus applicable taxes.

The Vancouver Maritime Museum is a fun, family-friendly place to explore and learn about the sea and the ships that sail it. Climb aboard the historic St. Roch, the first ship to make the west-east traverse of the Northwest Passage. Wander the decks and immerse yourself in the experience of the crew who worked aboard the boat in the 1940s. Kids can imagine, create and play in Underwater World, and the whole family can explore galleries and exhibits that chronicle the rich maritime history of the Pacific Northwest and the Arctic. Enjoy rotating art exhibits that explore our relationship with the sea and take in exhibits on shipwrecks, lighthouses, early fur trade, fireboats, warships, deep-ocean exploration, ship models, the Arctic and more.

Gallery Jones represents contemporary art by Canadian and International artists in the mediums of painting, photography and sculpture. We are dedicated to exhibiting and promoting excellent work that is relevant and original. The Gallery is located at #1-258 East 1st Avenue in Vancouver, in the neighbourhood known as The Flats, district. This neighbourhood is home to over a dozen visual art venues, including Emily Carr University of Art + Design.

Wya Point Resort is situated amongst old-growth forest and private, pristine beaches of the Yuu-thlu-ilth-aht (Ucluelet) First Nation peoples. Located on the rugged and remote west coast of Vancouver Island, we offer luxurious lodge accommodations, waterfront yurts and beachfront camping. We have nine timber lodges that were built to LEED Platinum standards using locally harvested red cedar. Each lodge is uniquely designed by a local carver and artist, and named for an animal of the Yuu-thlu-ilth-aht culture. The lodges come equipped with a full kitchenette, fireplace, bathroom, bedroom (1 or 2), cedar deck and chairs, and floor to ceiling windows that overlook Ucluth beach. Our beachfront yurts are open year-round and have private access to Wya beach. All come with a gas stove for heat, cedar deck and chairs, linens and basic kitchen essentials. While our yurts and lodges have daily housekeeping, guests are advised to bring their own potable drinking water and food.

We offer free Wifi and parking. We have 46 rooms/suites, 5 cabins, 40 RV lots. We are minutes away from The Office Bar and Grill and Oceanview Laundromat. Rooms are equipped with coffee makers, mini fridge and microwave.

Higgin's Inn is a spacious well planned facility close to the most popular beach in Powell River. The suites are large former apartments, beautifully appointed, and fully equipped for short or long-term accommodation. Each suite has a full kitchen, dining room, living room private bath and one, two or three bedrooms. We also have our newest addition: A ground-floor accessibility suite with special features in the kitchen and bathroom to make our guests with mobility challenges extra comfortable. The Penthouse suite is our most popular especially for family and friends reunions.
