During the pandemic, the Sidney Street Market was transformed into the "Sidney Outdoor Markets". Its new location off Beacon Avenue, next to the Mary Winspear Centre, hosts two markets per week throughout the summer. The new location offers plenty of nearby parking, larger, less crowded laneways to walk, convenient public washrooms and a wonderful variety of local and regional growers, producers, artists, musicians and creators that consist of many of our old favourites along with loads of new, exciting vendors. Our Visitor Centre is at the gateway to the Thompson Okanagan region of British Columbia. Our staff are welcoming and provide knowledgable travelling advice for the surrounding area. The Centre itself is the perfect rest stop, offering magnificent views of Okanagan Lake, plenty of parking space, a picnic area, pristine washrooms, free WiFi and EV charging stations. We are wheelchair accessible and our gift shop features Indigenous works & local artisanal goods, in addition to snacks, drinks, ice cream and coffee. We offer free information and resources on activities and resources for the Thompson Okanagan region and other parts of British Columbia.

Located 96 kms north of Fort Nelson, Tetsa River Regional Park offers 25 private, unserviced forested camp sites, day use area with picnic shelter and a children's playground. Foot access to the beautiful Tetsa River provides an opportunity for fly or rod fishing and wildlife viewing. Camp fees include firewood and are $20 per night, and by reservation only. Open May-September annually. Please note that picnic shelter and playground are closed under COVID-19 measures.
