This Farmers' Market offers a unique experience with a permanent outdoor marketplace during the spring/summer including vendor booths, a food barn, a bandshell for local music and a miniature train that runs during the Sunday market. You will find fresh, locally grown produce, meats and eggs as well as fresh baking and preserves. There's plenty of ready to eat food to keep you satisfied as you listen to live music, enjoy local craftspeople and relax around the stage or the children's sandbox. For a relaxing experience to help you get a good sense of what Powell River community feels like, join us from May-Sept on Saturdays from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm and year round on Sundays from 12:30 pm - 2:30pm at 4365 McLeod Road. Located in The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, Mountain Galleries is a favourite stop for collectors of Canadian art, featuring museum-quality paintings, sculpture and unique Inuit carvings. Our drop-in tour hours are from 1-4 PM Monday-Friday. Trethewey House Heritage Site is operated by Heritage Abbotsford Society, a registered non-profit. Our mission is to collect, record, preserve and share the stories of Abbotsford. We offer a range of programs and experiences including site tours, exhibits, historical Abbotsford walking tours, and more - all by donation. The Heritage Site consists of Trethewey House, Joey's Playhouse, the Upper Sumas Train Station, a Heritage Gallery, and the Sylvia Pincott Heritage Habitat Garden. Trethewey House was built in 1919-1920 by Joseph Ogle "J.O." Trethewey. As President of the Abbotsford Lumber Company, J.O. was responsible for leadership of the company during the company's boom years in the 1920s. The House is built in the local Craftsman style and was constructed using primarily local materials, making it distinct from other buildings of similar age within the City of Abbotsford.

The Vanderhoof Tourism and Cultural Centre opened its doors on June 30, 2022 and is located on the corner of Highway 16 and Pine Street on the traditional territory of Saikuz First Nation. Stop in to pick up some brochures, check out some local art, and chat with one of the friendly Visitor Services Specialists about the exciting things you can do in Vanderhoof. The Vanderhoof Community Museum is also located on these grounds. We encourage you to take a tour through our collection of six historic buildings at your own pace or with a guide. Admission is by donation and includes a large RV parking lot, free WIFI, wheelchair accessible picnic tables and a 1.5km interpretive walking trail. We hope to see you soon!
