Located in the village of Stuie, British Columbia on the banks of the Atnarko River, Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is located on the traditional territory of the Nuxalk and Ulkatcho First Nations. The lodge is located in an extraordinary area where the worlds most interconnected fjord system, the worlds largest temperate rainforest, and a dramatic mountain landscape of glaciers, plunging creeks, pristine rivers, and granite cliffs converge. Much of the area is now protected as part of The Great Bear Rainforest or Tweedsmuir Provincial Park. The area is renowned for its abundant wildlife and is one of the most pristine grizzly bear habitats in the world. The historic lodge has been welcoming guests since 1931. Guests of the lodge may select either a Small Group or a Private package. Come nightfall, guests stay in their own private chalet or elevated suite right at the forest's edge. All accommodations surround the large central lawn and offer excellent views with exceptional privacy.

The Barn building on our property was left empty at the end of our horses lives. Not wanting to have the building unused, we eventually decided to expand our home-based art and photography business which had been housed for years in our much smaller studio into this great new space. After months of renovations ART IN THE BARN GALLERY was born. We went on, to further renovate space to house Gabriels full-service, in-house Photography Studio and a full service on site framing shop. We both have a long history of working in Victoria as well as years of experience in our professions and work spanning Canada and other countries. It is fabulous to have such a wonderful place to showcase our work. While we predominantly display our own art and photography, we also occasionally host other talented people with locally made artwork for display and sale which includes pottery, jewelry. A must see. Operated by the Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society, the Agassiz-Harrison Museum & Visitor Information Centre preserves and promotes Agassiz-Harrison Valley history, heritage and culture of Agassiz, Harrison Hot Springs, and Harrison Mills. Amenities include our wheelchair accessible, family friendly 1893 heritage CPR station, which houses two museum galleries, archives, gift shop, and a full service visitor information booth. There is plenty of free parking and a picnic/play area in adjacent Pioneer Park. We are located off Highway 7 in downtown Agassiz, south of the railway tracks and within walking distance to local businesses and restaurants. We are open year round.
