Located in Brentwood Bay B.C., The Butchart Gardens is a world famous 55-acre (22ha) display garden. Started in 1904 by the Butchart’s and still privately owned by the family, The Gardens was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004. A Garden for all seasons, open year-round. In Spring, countless tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths offer a buffet of fragrances and colours. Summer is truly stunning from dawn past dusk featuring the Rose Garden, evening entertainment, subtle night illuminations, and the Saturday firework shows to name a few. Stunning perennial borders start their show in late summer, and the Japanese maples turn to russet, gold, and red in the fall. Be captivated by the Magic of Christmas with its hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights, 12 days of Christmas displays, and festive fare. In the summer months we have two adult Norco Fluid 4 HT mid-fat mountain bikes you can rent as well as a fleet of 6 sea kayaks, 2 inflatable kayaks, and two inflatable paddleboards including all safety gear needed for a fun day on the water.
