Welcome to our ranch in the Okanagan Valley a true wilderness experience only half an hour drive from Vernon, BC.Explore and enjoy unspoiled nature and tranquility on over 600 acres and surrounding crown land from your comfortable log cabin.Experience a stay in one of our 2 handcrafted log cabins or our unique Mongolian Yurt which all offer beautiful views of the Monashee Mountains and our private lake. All buildings on Bear Valley Highlands are powered by solar power systems to preserve this beautiful nature.Our unique mongolian yurt overlooks the Valley towards the Monashee Mountains and offers lots of privacy as well as a spectacular view. Only a short distance from the lake it is an easy walk to enjoy swimming, boating and fishing. With 32' diameter, log rafters and a 6' glass dome in the 14' high centre it is truly an experience to live close to nature but with all amenities.

Motel with small or large rooms with and without kitchen. Short walking distance to Chesterman Beach, and next door to coffee, food, groceries, surf shop, bike rentals, and other services. Paved multi-user path connects from here to all major destinations in Tofino, Ucluelet and in Pacific Rim National Park. All rooms are ground floor or near ground floor (2-3 steps) with room front parking.

The Poolside Suite, which is on the lower floor of the main house, where we live, is very spacious and has its own private entrance, patio, and secluded terrace leading to the pool area. The pool area is shared with the Carriage House, also listed on this site number 151470 and occasionally no more than 2 Airstream guests. We have a seasonally heated saltwater pool and lawned area with a badminton/volleyball net, both shared with the Carriage House also listed on this site. The price is based on number of guests. The suite has one queen bedroom, day bed for 2nd guest situated in a separate room and 2nd bedroom has two twin beds available to 3rd and 4th. Should the second guest wish to use the second bedroom then we do charge extra, but with our day bed in a separate room, it should not be necessary. The kitchen has a microwave, countertop convection oven, two-plate hob, breakfast bar, fridge and freezer, crockery, coffee maker, and kettle, where you can enjoy preparing a meal whilst keeping your eye on your little ones, watching TV or socializing with your accompanying guests. The pool table is an extra bonus available to those guests with no accompanying children.We have a barbecue on the private patio, pictures of all can be viewed under photos. I adore gardening so there is an abundance of hanging baskets and climbing plants on the terrace to be enjoyed including grapevines. We welcome children of all ages, however, for longer stays, for large families or those with several very young children we recommend our 2-bedroomed Carriage Houser also advertised on this site, which has a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer-dryer, and private gardens.For the security of all our guests, we only allow registered guests onto the property so rest assured there will always be a spot for you by the pool.Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 4392

FWA offers daily cat ski trips, guided fly fishing, ice fishing and wildlife tours. Fernie, BC, Canada is world renown for it's fly fishing.Dry fly action for cut throat and bull trout is second to none. Access the back country by snowcat to enjoy a day of cat skiing or boarding. The terrain ranges from ridges,to spectacular gladed meadows. With an elevation at over 7,150 ft / 2170 meters, you are sure to get some of the best snow conditions available!
